In Berlin, your ticket is valid for subway, tram, bus, ferries and the trains of the Deutsche Bahn (within the city area).

 

Recommendation:

First of all you should start by downloading the BVG App to guide you thru public transport connections

during your stay in Berlin.

 

 


Berlin explores easily, because the public transport network is dense and cheap.
You can reach every hotspot without parking space search and parking fees.
For example: with the 72 hours Berlin Welcome Card for 29 € / person
or as combined ticket with free admission for all museums of the Museum Island for 46 € / person.


On the weekend all means of transport go non stop, the whole night.
The metro line 6 can be easily reached on foot in 350m.


This subway Line 6 takes you quickly, safely and without traffic jams across Berlin;
- In 15 minutes you are on Friedrichstrasse (Galerie Lafayette, Gendarmenmarkt etc.)
- in 12 minutes you are at the Natural History Museum, "Memorial Berlin Wall" or in Tango Center Nou
- in 22 minutes you reach "Mehringdamm"  = Kreuzberg with the party mile "Bergmannstrasse"
- in 23 minutes you are in front of the former Tempelhof airport


Also other destinations in and around Berlin are easily reached:

25 min "Hauptbahnhof " main station(1x change)
20 min "Messe" Fair Ground / ICC Berlin (1x change)

The network is very good and nearly each site of Berlin is reachable. 

We recommend the Berlin Welcome Card or the Berlin Citytourcart, both offer unlimited use of all public transport vehicles, the welcome card offers additional discount on entrance fees of several sightseeing attractions.

In any case area AB is convenient for all interesting sites in Berlin.

Airport Schönefeld and Sanssouci Palace are situated in area C, for these trips you will need to buy an additional ticket (3,40€).

 

You can buy your ticket online via App or at a BVG Counter e.g. at the Main Station.
